Gene clues could predict who benefits from light therapy for organ rejection
NCT ID NCT07316829
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at gene activity in blood cells from 30 kidney or lung transplant patients with chronic rejection. Researchers want to find out why some patients respond well to a treatment called extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP), which uses light to modify blood cells, while others do not. The goal is to identify molecular patterns that could help personalize treatment for organ rejection.
