Scientists hunt for genetic clues to predict bowel disease treatment success
NCT ID NCT07398586
Summary
This study aimed to understand if variations in a specific gene (IL-7R) are linked to a person's risk of developing ulcerative colitis. Researchers also wanted to see if these gene variations could predict how well patients respond to a standard medication called vedolizumab. They compared genetic information from 898 people with the condition to healthy individuals to find these connections.
