Scientists search for genetic clues to personalize lung cancer chemotherapy
NCT ID NCT07145333
Summary
This study aims to understand how a person's genetic makeup influences their response to the chemotherapy drug topotecan for small cell lung cancer. Researchers will analyze the genes of 600 patients to see if specific genetic variations predict how well the drug works or what side effects they might experience. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help doctors choose the most effective and safest treatments based on a patient's genetics.
