Scientists hunt for clues in hepatitis B's immune system sabotage
NCT ID NCT06853886
Summary
This study aims to understand why the immune system fails to clear chronic hepatitis B (CHB) infection. Researchers will analyze genetic changes in two key types of immune cells (B cells and Natural Killer cells) from 140 patients at different stages of the disease. The goal is to map the 'molecular signature' of these faulty cells to identify new pathways for future treatments.
