Your genes could pick your heart meds in new study
NCT ID NCT03783351
Summary
This study is testing if using a genetic test to choose a blood thinner is better for people who get a heart stent. About 4,000 participants with heart artery disease will be assigned to either get a drug based on their genes or the standard choice. The goal is to see if the gene-guided approach leads to fewer heart attacks, strokes, or deaths over one year.
