Scientists test Gene-Edited 'Living Drug' against deadly pancreatic cancer

NCT ID NCT06828328

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether specially engineered immune cells can help control advanced pancreatic cancer. Doctors take immune cells from a patient's own tumor, modify them in the lab to potentially fight cancer better, then infuse them back into the patient. The trial will first check if this approach is safe for 10 patients who haven't responded to standard treatments.
