Scientists sniff out clues to RLS drug side effects

NCT ID NCT06726785

Summary

This study aims to understand how long-term use of common restless legs syndrome (RLS) medications might change how certain genes work in the body. Researchers will compare nasal swab samples from 50 people with RLS who have taken these drugs for different lengths of time. The goal is to learn more about a known side effect called 'augmentation,' where the medication can sometimes make symptoms worse over time.
