Summary
This completed study looked at 530 heart attack survivors from 25 Spanish hospitals to see if women and men differ in how well they follow prevention advice, like taking medications, eating healthy, exercising, and joining rehab programs. Researchers matched women and men by age and heart attack type and followed them for one year. The goal is to find any gender gaps in prevention adherence and understand why they happen.
