A Three-Point message could boost medication adherence in chronic disease
NCT ID NCT06748118
First seen Jul 01, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a simple, standardized, and repeated message from healthcare professionals can improve how well patients with chronic diseases follow their treatment plans. About 1,200 adults with chronic conditions will receive this message during regular consultations. The goal is to see if this approach increases the percentage of patients who take their medications as prescribed.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
simple, standardized, redundant 3-point message delivered by healthcare professionals
What this could lead to
If it works, this approach could offer a low-cost way to help many patients with chronic conditions take their medications as prescribed, improving health outcomes.
What could go wrong
The message is simple and may not be enough to change long-term habits. Results depend on how consistently healthcare professionals deliver it.
