New gel duo tested to fight dental implant gum disease

NCT ID NCT05926297

Summary

This study tested if adding two special gels to a standard dental cleaning helps treat gum inflammation around dental implants better than cleaning alone. The gels are a sodium hypochlorite gel (similar to a diluted bleach) and a hyaluronic acid gel (a substance that helps with healing). Researchers compared the two approaches in 92 patients over six months to see which one better reduced bleeding and inflammation.
