Special gel tested to ease painful recovery after dental surgery for diabetics

NCT ID NCT07429812

Summary

This study is testing if applying a special gel into the socket after a difficult tooth extraction helps the wound heal better and reduces pain and swelling for people with diabetes. Researchers will compare 40 diabetic patients who get the gel to 40 who receive standard care after their molar is removed. The main goal is to see if the gel improves early healing and lowers the risk of painful complications like dry socket.
