First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study will measure certain brain chemicals in 200 children aged 1-3 years before, during, and after hernia surgery. The goal is to see if these chemicals can predict which children might become confused or have learning problems later. Researchers will also compare two types of anesthesia to see if one is safer for the brain.
