New surgical patch aims to seal bleeding faster in liver operations
NCT ID NCT05900037
Summary
This study tested a new medical patch called GATT-Patch, designed to stop bleeding during minimally invasive liver and gallbladder surgeries. It was compared directly to a commonly used product, SURGICEL® Original. The main goal was to see if the new patch could control minimal to moderate bleeding within 7 minutes and prevent it from starting again.
