Scientists track genetic time bomb to predict deadly blood cancers

Summary
This study aims to understand why some people born with a specific gene change (GATA2 mutation) develop serious blood cancers like leukemia, while others do not. Researchers will follow 150 people with this mutation for up to five years, analyzing their stored blood and bone marrow samples to look for early warning signs. The goal is to learn how to better predict and monitor cancer risk in this group.
