New stomach map could guide gastroparesis surgery decisions

NCT ID NCT06493032

Summary

This study is testing a non-invasive tool called Body Surface Gastric Mapping (BSGM) to see if it can help doctors predict which patients with severe gastroparesis will benefit most from a specific endoscopic surgery called G-POEM. Researchers will enroll 20 patients and use the BSGM test before and after the procedure to look for patterns in stomach activity. The goal is to gather information that could help match the right treatment to the right patient in the future.
