Scientists listen to your Gut's nerves after a meal

NCT ID NCT03896126

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the nerves controlling digestion respond to food in people with gastroparesis, a condition where the stomach empties too slowly. Researchers compared 43 people with gastroparesis to healthy volunteers by measuring their body's automatic nerve responses after eating. The goal was to gather information that might help guide future treatments, like nerve stimulation, for this digestive disorder.
