Doctors investigate why weight loss surgery sometimes fails
NCT ID NCT01539967
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people regain weight after sleeve gastrectomy surgery. Researchers measured the leftover stomach size in 90 patients two years after their surgery using CT scans. They wanted to see if a larger remaining stomach volume was linked to poorer weight loss results, to help guide future treatment decisions.
