New study aims to improve stomach tumor diagnosis
NCT ID NCT06748690
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to take tissue samples from stomach tumors: a newer method called mucosal cutting biopsy (MCB) and a standard method called endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA). The goal is to see which method gives a more accurate diagnosis. About 96 adults with stomach tumors at least 15mm in size will take part. The results could help doctors choose the best biopsy technique for their patients.
