Summary
This study measured how long it takes for clear liquids of different volumes to leave the stomach in 70 healthy adults aged 18-65. The goal is to improve fasting guidelines before anesthesia. Participants fasted for 7 hours and had their stomach emptying timed. People on daily medications or with conditions like diabetes were excluded.
