New stomach cancer study seeks better survival predictor

NCT ID NCT07139418

Summary

This study aims to see if a simpler way of examining lymph nodes removed during stomach cancer surgery can better predict patient survival. Researchers will look at 400 patients who had a specific surgical procedure, checking lymph nodes in up to six distinct tissue areas. The goal is to understand if the number of these tissue areas containing cancer cells relates to how long patients live after surgery.
