Summary
This study tested whether actively draining gas from the belly after laparoscopic or robotic gynecologic surgery reduces shoulder and rib pain compared to manual gas release. 202 women having surgery for benign or cancerous conditions took part. The goal was to see if the drain method lowers early pain after the procedure.
