Extra vaccine shot aims to keep throat growths at bay longer

NCT ID NCT07339163

Summary

This study is testing if a one-time booster dose of the Gardasil-9 vaccine can help adults with recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP) go longer between needed surgeries. RRP causes non-cancerous growths in the throat and airways, often requiring repeated procedures. The research will enroll 50 adults who have already had the full Gardasil-9 vaccine series but still experience disease recurrence, to see if the booster extends the time between their surgical treatments.
