Brain zapping study holds clues for Alzheimer's memory loss
NCT ID NCT06680154
First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to stimulate the brain using two gentle techniques (tACS and iTBS) to improve working memory in 30 healthy adults. The goal was to see if these methods could strengthen brain waves linked to memory, which are often weak in Alzheimer's disease. While not a treatment itself, the findings may guide future therapies for memory loss.
