Researchers test new timing for sending gallbladder surgery patients home

NCT ID NCT06236074

Summary

This study aimed to find out if patients who have had keyhole gallbladder removal surgery can be safely checked for discharge 4 hours after their procedure, instead of the usual 24 hours. Researchers compared a standard recovery checklist at both time points in 60 patients. The goal was to gather information that could help patients go home sooner after surgery.
