New surgical pain block tested to cut opioid use after gallbladder removal
NCT ID NCT06123117
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to manage pain after laparoscopic gallbladder surgery. Researchers are comparing a standard local anesthetic injection at the incision sites to a more extensive nerve block technique combined with the standard injection. They will measure which method leads to less pain and lower use of opioid painkillers in the 850 adult patients participating.
