Gallbladder-Sparing surgery vs. removal vs. watchful waiting: which is best?

NCT ID NCT07413068

Summary

This study compares three different approaches for people who have stones in both their gallbladder and bile duct. Researchers want to see which method works best: a newer procedure that removes stones while keeping the gallbladder, the standard surgery that removes the gallbladder, or careful monitoring without immediate surgery. They will track 300 patients to learn which option is safest, most effective, and most cost-efficient over time.
