First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a gentle electrical stimulation to the spinal cord during walking therapy can help people with a recent spinal cord injury (within the last 6 months) regain leg movement and walking ability. About 40 participants will receive either standard walking therapy alone or walking therapy combined with spinal stimulation. The goal is to see if the combination is safe, tolerable, and leads to better leg function.
