Timing is everything: new study reveals when walking wears down in kids with CP
NCT ID NCT07316985
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at how walking patterns change over a short 3-minute walk in 36 children with spastic cerebral palsy compared to 36 typically developing kids. Using portable sensors and muscle activity monitors, researchers measured step time and muscle signals at different points during the walk. The goal was to find the best rest intervals for therapy, not to test a treatment.
