Runners with knee pain: new study tests if changing your stride is the answer
NCT ID NCT03314428
Summary
This study aimed to see if teaching runners with knee osteoarthritis a different running style could reduce their pain and lower stress on their knee joints. It planned to enroll runners with mild-to-moderate arthritis for a 4-week training program to modify their gait. The goal was to see if this approach could improve symptoms and function, allowing runners to stay active. The trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
