Common pain drug may hold key to spinal injury recovery

NCT ID NCT05302999

Summary

This study is testing whether starting the medication gabapentin very early after a spinal cord injury might help improve long-term recovery of movement and body functions. It will enroll 42 adults who recently suffered a spinal cord injury to see if it's practical to run a larger future trial. The main goal is to check if patients can be recruited, if they can stick to the 90-day treatment plan, and if the study procedures work well.
