First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a new scoring system called GAAD, which combines a patient's age, gender, and two blood markers, can detect liver cancer more accurately than current methods like ultrasound or standard blood tests. Researchers will enroll 2,100 adults with chronic liver disease or cirrhosis who are at high risk for liver cancer. Participants will undergo regular surveillance using both standard tools and the GAAD score to compare how well each method catches cancer early.
