Simple 8-Question test may predict survival in elderly cancer patients
NCT ID NCT03449914
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a quick, 8-item screening tool called G8 can help predict survival and severe side effects from treatment in elderly patients (70 years and older) with metastatic colorectal cancer. The goal is to find a simple way to identify which older patients are fit enough for standard cancer treatments. The study will follow 109 patients in Italy and also test a physical performance measure called Timed Up and Go.
