Summary
This study tested a new type of vaccine made by mixing a patient's own tumor cells with immune cells from a healthy donor. The goal was to see if these 'fusion cell' injections are safe and can help the immune system attack advanced kidney cancer. The trial involved 40 adults with stage IV kidney cancer who had tumors that could be removed for the vaccine.
