Scientists hunt for clues in mysterious, severe fungal disease

Summary
This study aims to understand why some people develop severe, long-lasting forms of a fungal infection called coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), while most people recover. Researchers will study the immune systems and genetics of 400 participants who have these severe forms of the disease. The goal is to learn what makes people susceptible to help guide future treatments.
