First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at a blood test called the Wako Beta-D-glucan test to see how well it can detect serious fungal infections in people with weak immune systems. Researchers tested 280 patients and checked how often two positive results within 15 days meant a real infection. The goal is to help doctors diagnose and treat these dangerous infections more quickly.
