NCT ID NCT07289646

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a lung perfusion PET/CT scan to guide radiation therapy can lower the risk of lung injury compared to standard planning. About 418 adults with lung tumors will receive stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) either with standard anatomical planning or with a personalized plan that avoids functional lung areas. The goal is to see if this approach reduces severe lung side effects within a year after treatment.
