Breakthrough hearing implant goes completely under the skin
NCT ID NCT06699797
Summary
This study is testing a new type of cochlear implant called Acclaim CI that is fully implanted under the skin, with no external parts. It aims to help adults with severe to profound hearing loss understand words better than they could with hearing aids alone. Researchers will follow 56 participants for two years to see how much their hearing improves and to check for any safety issues with the device.
