First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at whether wearing an eye patch full-time for 3 months improves eye alignment control in children aged 3 to 9 with intermittent exotropia (a type of wandering eye). 73 children were randomly assigned to either full-time patching or just observation. The main goal was to see if patching led to better distance control scores after 3 months.
