NCT ID NCT06767371
First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a less invasive dental procedure called full pulpotomy can work as well as a root canal for treating severe tooth inflammation. Researchers treated 58 adults with painful, inflamed molars, some with and some without a related infection at the tooth root. They also tested an artificial intelligence tool to see if it could accurately detect the infection from X-rays. The goal was to see if the simpler procedure could save more teeth while reducing the need for more complex treatment.
