Summary

This study tested a school-based program called Fuerte for newcomer immigrant teens at risk for traumatic stress. The program aimed to improve mental health knowledge, social connections, and link at-risk youth to professional help. 321 high school students from Spanish-speaking Latin American countries who had been in the U.S. for five years or less took part in the study.
