Summary

This study tested a new once-nightly medication called FT218 in 157 people with idiopathic hypersomnia, a condition causing severe daytime sleepiness despite long sleep. The goal was to see if FT218 improves wakefulness and reduces symptoms compared to a placebo. Participants could continue their usual stimulants or alerting medications during the 18-week study.
