New drug FS-8002 enters human trials for Hard-to-Treat cancers
NCT ID NCT06832982
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-stage trial is testing a new drug called FS-8002, alone or combined with other treatments, in 66 people with advanced solid tumors that have stopped responding to standard care. The main goals are to check safety, find the right dose, and get a first look at whether the drug shrinks tumors. It is a small, first-in-human study, so results will tell us if further testing is warranted.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
FS-8002 injection (a drug), given alone or combined with toripalimab (an immunotherapy) or chemotherapy
What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors who have run out of standard therapies.
What could go wrong
This is a very early Phase 1 trial with only 66 participants, focused mainly on safety and dosing. It is too small and early to know if FS-8002 will be effective or safe for wider use.
