Doctors prescribe fruits & veggies to fight childhood hunger and obesity
NCT ID NCT04767282
Summary
This study looked at whether a program that gives kids a $15 voucher for fresh fruits and vegetables at every doctor's visit helps them eat better, feel more food secure, and maintain a healthier weight. Researchers compared over 1,400 children from low-income families who had different levels of exposure to the voucher program. They tracked changes in diet, food security, and weight over two years to see if the vouchers made a difference.
