Summary
This study tested a program that gives children a $15 prescription for fresh fruits and vegetables at every doctor's visit. Researchers compared kids who had been in the program for a long time, a short time, or not at all to see if it improved their diet, food security, and weight. About 1,400 children aged 8-16 from low-income urban clinics took part.
