Could your sugar intake be messing with your mood? study investigates Gut-Brain link
NCT ID NCT05371067
Summary
This study aimed to understand if fructose, a common sugar, affects anxiety and depression by changing gut bacteria. It compared 56 healthy young men, some with and some without fructose malabsorption, to see if their gut bacteria and feelings differed. The goal was to gather knowledge, not to test a treatment.
