Simple blood test may predict insulin need for pregnancy diabetes

NCT ID NCT02159378

Summary

This study looked at whether a simple blood test for fructosamine could help predict which pregnant women diagnosed with gestational diabetes would need insulin treatment. It involved 200 women to see if this test could be a useful tool for doctors. The goal was to gather knowledge to potentially improve future care, not to test a new treatment.
