Scientists search for clues to track a rare neurological disease

NCT ID NCT02497534

Summary

This study aims to find better, non-invasive ways to measure how Friedreich's ataxia affects the heart and muscles. Researchers will use scans, exercise tests, and other measures in about 200 patients and healthy volunteers. The goal is to create tools that can detect if future treatments are working, as there are currently no cures for this condition.
