Prism glasses may help stroke patients walk and see better

NCT ID NCT07308054

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether Fresnel prism glasses, a low-cost non-invasive tool, can improve visual perception, balance, walking, and daily independence in people recovering from a stroke. Fifty adults who had a stroke on the right side of the brain and have left-side neglect will either get the prism glasses plus standard physical therapy or standard therapy alone. Researchers will measure changes in vision, balance, walking patterns, and ability to perform daily tasks over several weeks.
