Weekly veggie boxes fight disease in native communities
NCT ID NCT05773833
Summary
This study tested whether providing Native American families with weekly boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with cooking education, could improve their health. About 580 participants from the Osage Nation received the produce for 16 weeks while researchers measured changes in diet, blood pressure, weight, and food security. The goal was to create a practical program that other Native communities could use to address diet-related health problems.
