Scientists track 'Freezing' walk to predict falls in Parkinson's patients
NCT ID NCT07386015
Summary
This study aims to better understand 'freezing of gait,' a sudden, temporary inability to walk that affects people with Parkinson's disease and related conditions. Researchers will observe 700 participants over three years, collecting information on their walking patterns, balance, falls, and quality of life during their regular doctor visits. The goal is to learn how different causes of walking problems lead to different symptoms and outcomes, which could help guide better care and future research.
